Our Wedding Story started..….a year before when Andrew proposed at Rhinefield house. I was totally unaware but he had organised for hundreds of candles to be lit in the garden, and fairy lights round the band stand not only that he had my two best friends there to take photos and my brother playing his guitar, all hiding behind a bush! I knew then he was a true Prince Charming.

My Wedding Photographer

We chose Hayley Savage as our photographer as I used to work with Hayley and knew she was an amazing photographer. It was one of those things… ‘When I get married I want Hayley to be our photographer!’

Our really close friend Chris Tuck did the videography. He’s recently started doing weddings so did it mates rates but it’s the most amazing thing to be able to re live the day. He did such an amazing job.

My Wedding Venue

We picked St Marks church in Ampfield as I went to Ampfield primary school so we felt we had a connection there and not only that it is a beautiful church.

The Ampfield golf club was not only close by, but so accommodating and Kris the manager was so great in making it truly special day.

My Wedding Feast

Ampfield golf club did an amazing job of the food. We are really relaxed and didn’t want anything to fancy so we had a BBQ for the day then pizzas in the evening!

Our cake was done by Love Cake in Shirley. It’s our friends that run it but was a surprise on the day as we just gave them a rough idea of what we’d like!

My Wedding Vibe

We decided to have a slight Disney theme, our cake had beauty and the beast on it and I came into the church to ‘tale as old as time’ on the piano. It was a magical day.

My Wedding Style

I ended up buying two dresses as my first one was blush pink, but decided it wouldn’t go with Andrews uniform. The dress I wore was a lusan mandongus gown, I just felt like a true princess. The bridesmaid dresses where chi chi from ASOS. Everyone says to me how unusual they are and I’m so pleased as I changed them two weeks before the wedding along with the flowers! Andrews uniform is military he’s in the Household Calvary. And hair I did all the girls, mine and my mums the morning of the wedding!

My Wedding Flowers

Because I changed my mind in bridesmaid dresses 2 weeks before the wedding I think Colleen, my florist, wanted to kill me! So flowers went from nude to white with a hint of blue. I love them though! Shame they don’t last forever!

My Wedding Highlights

Our favourite part of the day was our first dance. Again we left that to 3 weeks before the wedding but it ended up with three lifts and a complete routine! We also had a confetti cannon which I loved! And I suppose I best say getting married to Andrew was the most special!!

Just enjoy it. Enjoy the planning, the run up and the day. It’s over with so quickly. Also there is normally always something that doesn’t go right on the day.. But you can’t change it so there’s no need to panic, it will all work out! Mine was a bridesmaids zip broke, but Hayley our photographer sewed her back into it as no one could sew!!
