When we caught a glimpse of these images on Matt Lee‘s social feeds we just had to see the full gallery. With its clever contrast and balance of both wild and soft natural beauty, this shoot had us both longing for wild adventures and swooning at pretty details.

We just knew you, our wild creative MWF couple, would draw inspiration from so many elements of this shoot. So here it is, the result from what an epic A-Team from Hampshire & Surrey got up to on the southern coast of the UK.

Over to the complete photographic wonder Matt Lee (Creative Photographer) for the inspiration behind the shoot:

“The ideas for the shoot came from a variety of directions. I wanted wild, in both senses of the word. Natural wilderness came from the locations, but I wanted there to be contrast in terms of the human element.

The obvious choice for dresses for this concept was Ruth Milliam, famously known for her feminine yet slightly wild and extravagant style. I wanted the models to contrast with the surroundings, those with tattoos and an urban vibe, contra to the natural environment. Meg, a friend, more used to being behind the decks in a nightclub was a perfect choice. And Charlotte who is used to being in front of the camera in her roles in various film and TV productions.

I wanted the flowers to contrast with the dresses and models and become more one with the surroundings so as to give this cohesion between the natural and un-natural elements. Alice from Meadow Folk grows her own flowers and makes some amazing creations so she was the obvious choice for this as she can create pretty much anything at all. I left the final creation styling to her because I knew whatever she came up with it would be perfect.

As for the hair and makeup I wanted to tread a line between natural free flowing & more styled, I wanted subtle but somehow still striking. This required a team with a lot of experience. Frances and Michelle have so much experience between them so after I briefed them I was happy for them to go wild and do what ever they thought would be best. I’ve learned while shooting weddings that one of the best things you can do as a bride & groom

I’ve learned while shooting weddings that one of the best things you can do as a bride & groom is getting good suppliers, and then trust them to do what they do best, they have far more experience at doing this. This is why I was happy to give Frances, Michelle & Alice free reign. And they did not disappoint.”
